Crunchy & tasty khatta meetha namkeen chivda is a versatile snack recipe. Munchies that's light yet fulfilling. This chivda has a great shelf life and is so easy to make. Make a big batch and store it in a air tight container.

Ingredients
- Poha (beaten rice) - 200 grams
- Ground nuts - 100 grams
- Oil - to fry Poha
- Turmeric powder - 1/3 Tsp
- Red chili powder - 1 Tsp
- Sugar - 2 Tbsp
- Salt - 1/4 Tsp
- Citric acid - less than 1 Tsp
- Raisins - 20 to 25 (remove the stems)
- Cashew nuts - 10-15 pcs (broken into half)
- Gram flour sev - You can use any sev of your choice (I have used Ratlami sev here)
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan. When the oil is sufficiently heated, Put almost half of the Poha, lower the flame and stir fry Poha till it doubles in size but remains white in color. Take out fried Poha and keep in a strainer to drain out excess oil. Similarly fry the remaining Poha and take it out.
- Put groundnuts in the remaining oil and fry till they turn brown then take them out.
- Similarly fry cashew nuts till light golden brown color & take them out.
- Put sugar, salt, red chili powder and citric acid in a mixer to make a fine powder.
- Heat 1 Tbsp of oil in a pan. Add turmeric powder in hot oil. Add in fried poha. Keep the flame low and keep mixing Poha with a spoon till it turns yellow. Switch off the flame and take out poha in a plate allowing the poha to cool completely
- Once Poha cools down completely, add groundnuts, cashew nuts, gram flour Sev, raisins followed by powdered sugar masala and mix all the ingredients well. Sweet & Sour poha namkeen is ready.
- Store it in an air-tight container and enjoy this scrumptious snack for up to 2 months...!!
