Moong Dal Cutlets are very crispy & delicious. It can be served as a starter or it is a great snack with the evening tea/coffee. You will love it for sure.

Ingredients
- Moong Dal - 1/2 cup (Soaked in water for 1 hour)
- Potatoes ( Boiled) - 2
- Bread crumbs - 1/2 cup
- Green Coriander - 2 Tbsp
- Coriander powder - 1/2 Tsp
- Red chilli powder - 1/4 Tsp
- Dry mango powder - 1/4 Tsp
- Garam Masala - 1/4 Tsp
- Asafoetida - 2 pinch
- Ginger - 1 inch piece (Grated)
- Green chili - 1 ( Finely chopped)
- Salt - 1/2 Tsp or to taste
Instructions
- Peel the potatoes & mash them finely. Drain the moong dal and put it in a big bowl. Add boiled and mashed potatoes. Add bread crumbs, add in all spices along with ginger, green chilies and coriander leaves and mix them thoroughly. Knead with hand and prepare the dough.
- Heat enough oil in the pan. Take out little mixture, place it in your hand and give them an oval shape by pressing it gently. Prepare all the cutlets similarly.
- Put 6-7 cutlets or as many cutlets in the heated oil and deep fry the cutlets on medium flame until they become golden brown from both sides. Fry all the cutlets with same procedure.
- Take them out & drain them on a paper towel. Serve them hot with any chutney of your choice.
Notes
- While frying the cutlets, make sure that the oil is not overheated nor is cool. Cook the cutlets on medium flame, the cutlets will come out very crispy.
