Hara Bhara Kebab

Hara Bhara kebab is a quick & easy vegetarian kebab made with spinach and green peas and perked with authentic Indian spices. This snack is ideal for parties, potlucks, get together etc. you can also eat these kebabs as evening snack with tea or coffee. Enjoy this mouthwatering starter with chutney of your choice.

Ingredients
- Green peas – 1 ¼ cup (frozen)
- Spinach – 500 gms (boiled and chopped)
- Mint leaves – 8-10 (chopped)
- Coriander leaves – 2 Tbsp (chopped)
- Oil – 1 Tbsp + for deep frying
- Cumin seeds – ½ Tsp
- Ginger – 1 Tbsp (chopped)
- Green chilies – 2 (finely chopped)
- Salt to taste
- Potato – 1 large (boiled, peeled and grated)
- Bread crumbs – 2 Tbsp + ¼ cup
- Garam masala – 1 Tsp
- Chaat masala – ½ Tsp
Instructions
- Heat 1 Tbsp oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and saute for a while..
- Add ginger and green chili in a pan and saute for a minute. Add green peas, spinach, mint, coriander and salt. Mix well and cook till the mixture is dry.
- Transfer cooked mixture in a grinder jar and grind coarsely.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Add potato, 2 Tbsp breadcrumbs into coarse spinach and peas mixture. Add garam masala and chaat masala. Mix well until well combined..
- Spread ¼ cup of breadcrumbs on a plate.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into kebabs. Roll the kebabs in the breadcrumbs and coat well from both sides.
- Refrigerate the kebabs for 1 hour.
- Deep fry kebabs till golden and crispy.
- Drain the kebabs on an absorbent paper.
- Serve hot with green chutney, ketchup or chutney of your choice.
Notes
- You can also cook these kebabs on a grease tawa (griddle) until golden brown from both the sides.
