Black Chickpeas & Raw Mango Salad

This kala chana and raw mango salad is healthy, refreshing, tangy and protein packed.

Ingredients
- Black chickpeas ( kala chana ) - 1 1/2 cups( boiled)
- Raw mango - 1/2 cup, cut into cubes
- Potatoes - 1/2 cup, boiled and cut into cubes
- Onion - 1/4 cup, finely chopped
- Tomatoes - 1/2 cup, finely chopped
- Peanuts - 1/4 cup, roasted and lighted crushed
- Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Mint leaves - 1/4 cup, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Roasted cumin powder - 1 tsp
- Red chili powder- 1/4 tsp
- Chaat masala - 1 tsp
- Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, add all the salad ingredients like boiled Kala chana, veggies, peanuts, herbs, spices and lemon juice. Toss gently to combine.
- Serve immediate or refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
- Garnish with roasted peanuts and a mint leaf.
Notes
- Adjust the spice level to your taste after you mix the salad ingredients. Increase or decrease the spices according to your preference.
- You may also add a coriander mint chutney or tamarind chutney for a little kick.
